Newark City Parks

Branding | UX/UI

In collaboration with the Design Consortium class, NCPF partnered for a brand advancement, incorporating the sub-identities of five Newark Downtown parks. Additionally, a website was developed to complement the new identity.

  • The resulting citywide campaign is now visible across banners, calendars, and digital platforms, demonstrating how participatory design curricula can elevate public life through research and collaboration.

Typeface | Brandon Grotesque

Inspired by stained glass and cartographic street forms of Downtown Newark, the NCPF logo is a teardrop-shaped leaf that unifies the 5 distinct parks under one form.

Each one of the five Newark Downtown parks serves its own purpose in the local community. To most equally represent their presence, each park would have its own identity under one brand.

Following an audit of the previous website, we developed a Prototype integrated with the new identity. Created on Figma.

Mansi Patel and I collaborated with Gisela Ochoa during the initial stages of the live site development. Created on Squarespace, Gisela led the website to completion in October 2025.
